All in the Family

In 1914, Luciano Ferreri set sail on the Berlin; with his father, mother, brothers, and sister; from Lercara Friddi, Sicily for Ellis Island, New York. Many years later after settling in Buffalo, New York, Luciano met and fell in love with Josephine Ciello at a church dance. Luciano and Josephine would soon marry and start a family of three sons: Salvatore, Nick and Tom.

Kris Ferreri, son of Salvatore, named his restaurant in honor of his grandfather. He was a strong man who instilled values and traditions in his family. One of these traditions was food. “As far back as I can remember, food was a huge part of everything we did—from dinner at my grandparents to Thanksgiving,” said Kris Ferreri, 25, owner and chef of Luciano’s Pizza and Wings.
